Meet Steve Redfearn
Steve Redfearn, President of Redfearn & Associates, has over 40 years of experience in booking national and local talent. Since 1988, Steve has worked for several large promoters overseeing their talent buying departments; Bill Silva Presents, Viejas Entertainment, AEG Live San Diego. During that period, Steve has confirmed over 2000 shows in San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, including shows at the Hollywood Bowl for eight years, the San Diego Sports Arena for twelve years, Viejas Casino for nine years, Summer Pops/Bayside Concerts at the Embarcadero for six years and Humphreys Concerts by the Bay for three years. During that time, Redfearn produced numerous shows at the Spreckles and Civic Theaters, Symphony Hall and UCSD venues.
In 2009, Steve decided to parlay his vast experience in production and special events by opening his own firm, Redfearn & Associates, a leading full-service special events and production company.
Since then, Redfearn has confirmed numerous performing artists for non-profit events including: Jewel, Emmylou Harris, Hall and Oats, Tristan Prettyman, Shawn Colvin, Bill Cosby, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kenny Loggins, Pat Benatar (acoustic) and the Doobie Brothers.
Steve's Professional History:
- Tour and production manager for Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and Jimmy Buffett.
- Vice President of Bill Silva Presents in San Diego, promoting over 200 shows per year including the Rolling Stones, Eagles, U2, Pink Floyd and Elton John and the last ten shows at Qualcomm Stadium.
- General Manager of the 18,500 seat Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa for Nederlander and the 20,000 seat Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta for then MCA Concerts.
- Director of Operations for the Buick Invitational Golf Tournament, ESPN X Games in San Diego, Republican National Convention and a variety of Super Bowl events.
- Vice President of Special Events for the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, producing the annual INSIGHTS speaker symposium.
- Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment for Viejas Enterprises, overseeing budget in excess of $15 million annually. Began the Viejas Concerts in the Park series, now in its 12th season.
- Founder and President of Viejas Entertainment, the first Tribal concert-promoting firm to produce concerts off reservation property in the United States.
- Most recently opened the local office for AEG Live, the second largest concert promoter in the world, promoting shows at the San Diego Sports Arena, Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay, Valley View Casino, Qualcomm Stadium Concerts on the Green and other local venues.
Steve was recently honored among several esteemed San Diegans as one of San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s 20 Men Who Impact San Diego 2011.
